Julia started playing piano when she was 6.

She moved a lot as a child so every year or two there was a new piano teacher. Through it all, she loved making music, especially collaboratively with other instruments. Her favorite composer is Grieg.

She attended Cairn University and graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Church Music, with piano as her main instrument. She has also played organ, percussion, handbells, and dabbled in recorder.

Julia has over 10 years of experience teaching piano. She has accompanied many different ensembles, soloists, and churches. She is able to coach students in the art of accompanying when they get to the intermediate level.

Julia is a current homeschool mom of two. She only accepts a few new students at a time while balancing homeschooling and piano teaching.
